Robin Hall, M.S. (Illinois) - Leisure Studies
Robin Hall is the Director of the ORPR and is a visiting lecturer with the
Department of Recreation, Sport and Tourism. He has over 35 years experience in the
field of community parks and recreation management. His areas of interest and expertise
include:
- Planning, operation, and evaluation of park and rec agencies.
- Citizen involvement in the planning and evaluation of park and rec agencies.
- Development and operation of citizen advisory committees.
- Art in outdoor spaces.
- Relationship between park design and use.
- Trends in park and rec.
- Fundraising for parks and rec.
Hall has Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the Dept. of Recreation, Sport, and
Tourism at the U of I.

LoriKay Paden, M.S. (ISU), CPRP - Health, Physical Education, Recreation Administration
and Dance
LoriKay is the Community Services and Education Coordinator for the Office of
Recreation and Park Resources (ORPR), a branch of the Department of Recreation, Sport and
Tourism. She consults, advises, evaluates and provides training and staff development
for administrative staff, supervisors, personal trainers, fitness instructors and front
line staff in public and private recreation agencies.

Leisure Studies
Research:
Examining the relationship between leisure engagement and health among older adults, the
role of community park and recreation agencies in the delivery of health promotion/disease
prevention programs, and the translation of evidence-based programs in community settings.
