Illinois Park and Recreation Association (IPRA) - It is the mission of the Illinois Park and Recreation Association to be an advocate in providing quality park, recreation and conservation education, resources and services to professionals and citizens throughout the state of Illinois.

Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) - To manage, conserve and protect Illinois' natural, recreational and cultural resources, further the public's understanding and appreciation of those resources, and promote the education, science and public safety of Illinois' natural resources for present and future generations.

Illinois Association of Park Districts (IAPD) – IAPD is a non-profit service, research and education organization that serves park districts, forest preserves, conservation, recreation and special recreation agencies. The association advances these agencies, their citizen board members and professional staff in their ability to provide outstanding park and recreation opportunities, preserve natural resources and improve the quality of life for all people in Illinois.

National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) – NRPA is dedicated to educating professionals and the public on the essential nature of parks and recreation. Through learning opportunities, research, and communication initiatives, we strive to generate significant public support for our movement in order to advance the development of best practices and resources that will make parks and recreation indispensable elements of American communities.

National Great River Research and Education Center (NGRREC) – The National Great Rivers Research and Education Center is committed to understanding and conserving Great Rivers and it's environment. NGRREC's desire is to connect with Great River communities and serve in educating their citizens.
